Vice Chair of the YCA in Sandwell, Saleh Saeed has been bestowed with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his contribution to humanitarian work. Saleh is presently the CEO of the Disaster Emergency Committee and has also led Islamic Relief for four years.
Saleh said: “I’m truly and deeply honored to receive this honour, and surprised. I am sure there are many more deserving people.”
Saleh Saeed has been part of the YCA in Sandwell for over 15 years and is a founding member of the organisation and has supported it to grow into the successful and thriving community organisation that it presently is. On behalf of the community we would like to publically congratulate Saleh for achieving this honor.
